In VetAtHome We offer Maternity Care for dogs & cats – a unique comprehensive concept for those planning mating or expecting puppies or kittens. We follow you and your animal through the entire journey, from the first thought of breeding to aftercare of the bitch/female and litter.
Our maternity care includes mating planning, fertility assessment, pregnancy checks, birth support and aftercare. All care is carried out in close collaboration with the reproductive specialist and veterinarian. Helene Alm, who has many years of experience in reproductive medicine in dogs and cats.

Through VetAtHome's unique concept, we combine safe home visits with specialist care at the Östermalm Animal Clinic. It provides flexible, comfortable and safe care throughout the entire process, tailored to both animals and pet owners.
We offer fertility testing, semen analysis, progesterone sampling and vaginal examinations for optimal reproductive planning. At the clinic, we also perform ultrasound and X-rays for pregnancy checks as well as further investigation of reproductive-related problems in both bitches and males.
Mating planning helps optimize the chances of a successful pregnancy. We offer advice on timing, fertility and appropriate reproductive diagnostics for both the female and male – via telephone, home visit or at the clinic.
With ultrasound, we can confirm pregnancy early and monitor fetal development for increased confidence throughout the pregnancy. X-rays can be performed at the end of the pregnancy to estimate litter size.
We offer professional insemination both at home and at the Östermalm Animal Clinic. Helene Alm, one of Sweden's few small animal reproduction specialists with the authority to perform insemination, works for us.
In the event of failure to conceive or suspicion of reduced fertility, we offer a thorough examination of both the bitch and the male to identify possible causes and plan the right measures.
For those of you who want extra security, we offer affordable package solutions, which provides continuity, access to specialist expertise and a clear plan throughout the adventure.
For those planning your first litter, we offer safe guidance throughout the reproductive journey – from mating planning and progesterone testing to pregnancy checks, birth support and aftercare.
