About VetAtHome

VetAtHome is a modern and innovative animal care service where the well-being and comfort of animals and owners is put first. We currently have a physical clinic and ambulatory operations in Stockholm and smaller clinic rooms and ambulatory veterinarians around the country. Right now we are looking for veterinarians throughout the country who are driven and interested in working ambulatory!

Ambulatory visits are the core of VetAtHome. Because we visit the animal where they are most comfortable, we minimize stress and create a calmer care experience for everyone, which is a highly appreciated service by both patients and owners. Our goal is to be able to offer veterinary care in the home all over Sweden and hope to contribute to more animals getting the care they need.

Working as a veterinarian at VetAtHome around Sweden

A home visit can often provide much more care than many people think. At home, we can perform examinations, wound care, euthanasia, sampling and vaccinations, among other things. In cases that require continued treatment in a clinic or diagnostics, we help to refer patients on for quick and correct care. Many of our patients receive all their care through home visits, which creates security and good, long-term relationships.

As an ambulatory veterinarian with us, you have your own, fully equipped pole room as your base. There you can both receive patients who wish to meet at the clinic and prepare for the day's home visit, such as packing your bag with the materials and medications needed for the day. VetAtHome provides you with a bag and car so that you and your nurse can easily transport yourself between visits. It is a very independent job, but with colleagues around the country, there is always someone to contact if you encounter any problems, whether they are technical issues or questions regarding a patient. We also hold pulse meetings at the beginning of each shift so that you can ask any questions before the day. Regardless of where in the country you will work, we ensure that you get a proper intro so that you feel completely confident in working according to our model.

We are looking for you as…

  • Has a veterinary degree and is licensed in Sweden.
  • Have at least 2 years of experience in clinical work, preferably in both small and large animals.
  • Are you interested in taking responsibility for your own pole room in your location and creating close relationships with your patients and their owners?.
  • Has good communication skills, is service-oriented, educational and can create trusting relationships with animal owners.
  • Thrive in a work environment where you can influence and plan your day to create a sustainable and rewarding workday.
  • Want flexibility and balance in work, with the opportunity to work both stationary and mobile.
  • Is independent, responsible, organized, time-efficient and enjoys working in a flexible and dynamic environment.
  • Have a B driving license and good driving experience.
  • Have good skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Meritorious

  • Experience with home visits or working in mobile veterinary clinics.
  • Worked with several species of animals such as dogs, cats & horses.
  • Further education in animal welfare, stress-free handling or similar areas.
  • Can take blood samples and insert venous catheters.

We offer you:

  • Responsibility and self-determination: Freedom to influence your schedule with flexible working hours and responsibility for your own pole room – with support from our team.
  • Animal safety in focus: You get to meet the animals where they feel most comfortable, which allows them to receive care in a calmer and less stressful way.
  • Efficiency through digital tools: With our platform, you can manage everything from bookings to follow-ups smoothly, giving you more time to focus on animal care and less time on administrative tasks.
  • A positive and supportive work environment: Here we care for each other, and you get to work in a committed network of like-minded people.
  • Sustainability and development: We focus on animals and employees and work for sustainable and long-term animal care.
